Students selected under Honda Young Engineer & Scientist’s (Y-E-S) programme who agree to undergo internship programme in the institute/ university or research organization assume the responsibility for conducting themselves as per the rules and regulation of the concerned institute/ university or research organization.

Further the selected student who applies for the Internship programme in various Universities of Japan under the Y-E-S programme will have to give an undertaking certifying that he will not apply to any other University outside Japan unless the university of Japan where he has applied regrets his Internship application that he is not eligible to undergo internship programme in the said university of Japan.

Some common examples of inappropriate conduct and behavior include:

  • Not adhering to the instruction of the Professor/ guide under whose guidance the intern is conducting research.
  • Failure to attend the institute/ university for the internship programme as per the direction of the concerned Professor/ guide.
  • Misbehaving or indulging in lewd, indecent, or obscene behavior with the staff, members of the institute/ university and other persons including other researchers undergoing internship programme or doing research in the institute/ university.
  • To indulge in cheating or plagiarism in connection with the academic programme at the institute/ university;
  • To indulge in forgery or misuse of documents, records, data etc. which are provided during the internship duration.
  • Obstruction or disruption, on or off the institute/ university property including educational process, administrative process, or other functions;
  • To Indulge in physical abuse, to any person or property of any member of the institute or of members of his or her family, or the threat of such physical abuse;
  • Unauthorized entry into, unauthorized use of, or misuse of institute/ university property;

Honda Foundation, Japan / Honda Cars India has the right to recover the entire or part expense incurred from the student which the foundation has sponsored and also initiate appropriate disciplinary proceedings which includes informing the institute (IIT).
